Leo Colalillo

I dedicate most of my time to Lettering works, using fonts either created by me or already existing. Driven by curiosity, I often like to experiment, for example by mixing traditional and digital technics and always seeking for new materials to work with. In creating a project, I usually spend most of the time in research, as I consider this the most important part of a project, leading to an optimal final result. Besides graphic design and traditional hand drawing, I focus my attention also to other medias, such as videos (creating short musical movies, video projections and videoclips) and photography. Amongst my greatest sources of inspiration are the russian avant-gardes and the Bauhaus, of which I most appreciate the rationality, the taste for experimentation and the interdisciplinarity.
